What Causes Sudden Pain Under The Ribs After A Gall Bladder Surgery?
I had my gallbladder removed at the end of July beginning of August. I've been healing very well until these last couple of weeks. 3 Weeks ago I had a horrible pain under my ribs where my gallbladder used to be. I literally thought I was having a heart attack and I'm only 20 years old. My mom told me she thought it was an air bubble or gas just stuck so she was patting my back and eventually it went away. This past weekend it happened again as well as today. These are horrible attacks, like I said I feel like I'm having a heart attack. I am prone to anxiety attacks as well. But what could this be?
presentation of post cholecystectomy pain. differential: surgical incision pain, fat intolerance or stone remnants in common bile duct.
ultrasound abdomen maybe done to rule out stones in common bile duct and to see the tissue underlying incision .
advice: - take pantoprazole 40mg once daily before breakfast (for the rest of your life)- discuss with treating physician - also get a complete blood cell count(CBC) test - avoid OILY food and FAT diet altogether - avoid eating stomach full and mouth full - avoid spicy food
wish you good health. further queries are welcomed.
