What Causes Sudden Pressure In Ears Along With Ringing Sound?
I have sudden pressure/fullness in one ear followed by a brief 15-20 seconds of loud ringing. It is not the same ear each time it happens. Some days I don t have it other days I ll have it 5-10 times. I started having these sensations March of 2015. Not sure if it is related, but I had a migraine about 1-2 weeks before the episodes started.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sudden pressure in ears along with ringing sound which occurs when Eustachian tube which connects throat to middle ear and maintain the pressure of middle ear get blocked due to upper respiratory tract infection ,sinusitis or post nasal drip. I would suggest you to to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out other condition like middle ear infection or air/water bubble in ear . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course or mucolytic agent like ambroxol. For now do warm saline rinses several times a day ,give warm compresses to external ear because sometimes sound occur due to water drop in ear .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
