General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If the heart pounding lasted for less then 30 minutes and it was a single episode and did not cause you any discomfort like chest pain, vision change or faint, etc, very likely this is nothing to worry.

If the episode repeats or you get any of the symptoms mentioned above you might need to see your doctor and make sure your heart is doing well by having an ECG and a heart ultrasound.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
