What Causes Sudden Rise In BP And Pain In The Chest?
My son is 21 and over weight. At 10:50 his BP was 176/98 and I have still been checking it. He complained of chest pained but refused to go to the er. Since then I have been checking it every 15 minutes and it has gone down now. To 146/87 and not complaining of chest pains but he seems tired and I m only thinking it s because he worked until 8:00 this morning and slept only for four hours. He just seems weak to me
Hi welcome to HCM. Blood pressure fluctuations in your case is due to inadequate sleep.Lack of sleep can cause serious distress on heart. Its essential to have an adequate sleep for 6-8 hrs/day.In case of sleep onset difficulty ,sedative hypnotics are of immense value when used for short period of time.Stress management and regular physical exercise can help to improve sleep pattern. These blood pressure changes will revert to normalcy once good sleep is restored.Consult your cardiologist for further care. Thank you.
