What Causes Sudden Rise In Heart Rate During Exercise?
I experience elevated heart rate while exercising. I train with a heart monitor & have slightly HBP @ 125 / 85.Am 62 years old, male, 6 2 225 lbs. Train 3 - 4 times each with nearly 3 hours of hard cardio. My max heart rate should be approx. 160 bpm. I regularly train at 150 + average bps with intervals of 160- 165 bpm. Any issue with the above?
* The raised heart rate during exercises in the range of 160 beats per minute is normal physiologic response of the body and nothing to worry about.
* The reason of the raised pulse rate is secondary to contractions of the heart chambers to pump adequate blood to the circulating tissues at a faster rate then resting condition and maintain cardiac output at its best. Do continue to enjoy your exercises to keep yourself fit and fine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
