What Causes Sudden Sharp Pain In Lower Abdomen?
Hello. Yesterday I had sudden onset of sharp pain in my lower abdomen. It favored neither side and lasted about 20 minutes before subsiding to an ache on the pain scale at about 5. The pain returned later that evening lasting about 20 minutes. I went to bed and when I woke my entire abdominal area felt as though I had been repeatedly hit. I ache from below my rib to my pubic bone. Should I go to the ER?

it may be because of pancreatitis or intestinal obstruction , you have not mentioned about any other symptoms , I can suggest you to get done ultrasound scan of the abdomen and tab . cyclopam if you get the pain again
