What Causes Sudden Skin Blisters On The Left Hip Area?
Yes, I have a blistery patch on my left hip area that s about the size of a quarter that comes and goes periodically. It appears overnight and the blisters develop within a few hours. The whole uncomfortable area lasts about two weeks before it starts to go away. Any ideas what it might be?
Shingles can occur in anyone with a previous history of chicken pox at any time in their past. The virus remains in the system and re emerges years later as shingles.
It causes an intermittent painful rash that has a blister like appearance.
If the rash occurs frequently then your doctor can give you anti viral medication to help suppress it. The shingles vaccine is also an option that you should discuss with your doctor if he or she agrees that this may be the cause of the rash.
The vaccine would also reduce outbreaks and reduce the chance of post herpetic neuralgia which is severe pain that can occur in some persons with shingles
I hope this helps
