What Causes Sudden Swelling And Pain In Lower Back?

my son has a bad dis in his lower back. He knows he needs an antiinflammatory stronger than ibuprofin. the humidity and weather inPA has affected this. He has swelling on both sides of his back. He is in major pain and can barely walk. He has no insurance. Any help.

I your son has swelling on both sides of lower back and cramping pain in his back.It seems he has lumbago .If i have to treat such a patient i will advice tohave an xray of lumbosacral region, AP and Lateral views If i have to treat such a patient i will advice back belt support , hard bed, inj diclofenac IM, tab Baclofen one twice aday , tab tramadol three times a day and hard bed.
