What Causes Sudden Swelling Behind Right Leg?

I have this huge bulge in the back of my right leg. It lasted for 1 hour. The pain was so bad I felt like I was going to die. I could not breathe and I ended up passing out. I took my blood pressure which is always 90/60 pulse 44. My reading were 146/103 pulse 143. I can not concentrate, think straight or type right. I was sitting in my computer chair for 5 minutes when this started. It was like I was paralyzed. The more I tried to move my right leg the bigger the not got. I fell to the floor and grabbed a pillow on my way down when I passes out. My heart has still been racing for 30 minutes now. What could it be? My pulse rate is still 143 and heart is thumping like crazy.

Hello,

Swelling on back of leg accompanied by severe pain could be neoplasm arising from nerve sheath.

Neoplasms arising from nerve sheaths are usually painful.

I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment, radiological investigations, fine needle aspiration cytology and thus management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
