Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My right leg has slight swollen. I am on Plavix75 mg, 5 mg linsinpril, a generic Zocor 5mg 81 aspirin. Leg has swelled slightly. Had a stroke 2 years ago walling burg syndrome but have recovered with full movement with slight numbness in right leg and arm. What could be causing the recent swelling?
The leg swelling could be related to venous insufficiency. If there is no change in the color, there is no reason to panic. Anyway, I would recommend performing some tests to investigate on the possible causes of leg swelling: - A Doppler ultrasound of the leg vessels - Fasting glucose - Blood electrolytes - Kidney and liver function tests
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
