What Causes Sudden Weight Loss And Lack Of Appetite?

symptoms: can t taste food, can t taste salt, recent weight loss 10-20 pounds, take a few bites of food and feel full, no change in bowel habits. doctor felt it was a yeast infection. treated and felt better but still can t eat more than a few bites and cannot taste food. he is frustrated, what can I tell him to do?

Here you should consult physician for your examination first....

If oral thrush means fungal infection present than treated with suitable antifungal drug like fluconazole...

For weight loss rule out HIV by serological Elisa testing and thyroid issue by serum TSH and t4...

Chronic infection also should be ruled out by chest x ray and ESR estimation

According to cause further specific treatment given

As far as food taste is concerned for that neurological cranial nerve examination done If needed
