What Causes Sudden Worm Like Pieces In The Urine?

My husband noticed small worm-like pieces of blood in his urine yesterday. Went to doctor today and they did a UA. Worm like pieces of blood were visible but no blood under microscope. No sign of infection. Sent him for a CT scan and no sign of stones. He has been taking penicillin off and on for about 3 months due to abscessed tooth. We are both worried. What could this be?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, without microscopic examination nothing could be said anything, it could be nonspecific it may be something related with cast, better to get done the microscopic examination, you did not mentioned what the doctor said after urine analysis ? if is it not being cleared even after the UA then how come it can be said what is it ? without seeing the urine or examine the urine hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
