What Causes Sweating And Light Headedness After Taking Amoxicillin?

I had a tooth extracted (the very back one on the lower left). I was given amoxicillin to take 3 times a day. I feel sweaty and light headed about one half hour after taking pill. This extraction was 3 days ago and I do not feel well. (weak and lightheaded) I do not have pain as I have been taking Tylenol to keep from having pain. I was in my twenties when I had my wisdom teeth pulled and got along great. I am now in my 60 s. Can that make a diffence in how I feel?

HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic

Yes age do make a difference but sweating and light headedness could be due to a minor reaction to the amoxicillin . I advise you to ask for an alternative antibiotic and use it . This shall reduce your symptoms .

Hope you find this information useful.
