What Causes Sweating And Lightheaded?

I was sitting at the table reading this morning after 2 cups of coffee with sugar and got shakey, sweaty and light headed. I was not doing anything strenuous or stressful and had sugar in my coffee so I don't understand why this happened, I sat down and ate a bowl of gluten free oatmeal and felt better after about 10 minutes. It was not a panic attack

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the caffeine caused the shaky and sweaty sensation. Caffeine is a stimulant and can induce this response in some persons.
You stated that the symptoms started after your second cup of coffee.

There are other possible causes such as : low blood sugars, arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm), hypotension (low blood pressure), side effect of medication.

I hope this helps
