What Causes Sweet Taste In The Mouth Along With Nausea And Stomachache?

Hi. I am an 18 year old female and have been having some pretty strange symptoms. I got sick a couple weeks ago with what seemed like a cold. I let it go away on its own and it pretty much has. For the past couple weeks as well I have noticed a weird sweet taste in my mouth, nauseous all the time/stomach pain, have been more shaky than normal while exercising, constantly urinating (it s not a UTI, I know what that s like all too well) and also today had very light tan stool. I have IBS so the stool may be unrelated but I thought I would include it.

Hello,

Most probably it could be due to severe gastritis.

As a first line management, you can try antacids like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a gastroenterologist and plan for an endoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
