What Causes Swelling Along With Burning Sensation On Labia Minora?

Hello this pass sunday my left labia got really swollen after sex but i had a painful burning sensation so i went to the hodpital and they told me that i pop a vein, now i have two days with this swollen labia, how long will it take for my labia to go back to normal ? And what can i take for da pain since am 30 weeks pregnant ? Help..

Hello,

Swollen labia is mostly due to some bruise. Since you are 30 weeks pregnant, I advise the application of cold compress would reduce the swelling. As you are pregnant, you can use only tab. Acetaminophen or paracetamol twice daily for pain relief.

Sitz bath meaning, sitting in a tub of warm water with Povidine iodine added to it would help relieve symptoms. Your symptoms if persist even after above treatment for 3-4 days, you may need to consult your gynecologist for further evaluation.
