What Causes Swelling Along With Itching On Foot Of A Child?
my 10 year old stubbed his toes. the top of his foot from the toe back swelled up really good. We have used ice to keep the swelling down but it remains light pink in color and swollen. He is also complaining of it being itchy. Is there anything else we should be doing?

When did this happen? This suggests a contusion with overlying bruise. Continue ice application for 48 hours. Give him acetaminophen or ibuprofen for 3 days. Take rest and keep the foot elevated. If pain and swelling progresses despite these measures, kindly take him to doctor, as we may need to rule out a fracture.
