I have a swollen foot and a few months ago I had a bloodclot. I wonder if it s that again or just fluid retention? It s only in my left foot and leg where I had the clot. I am going to call my PHP tomorrow, but I would like to know what you think. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to HCM...

Here your left foot having blood collection probably in joint according to history.

Local part x ray done both in AP and lateral view of joint to identify arthritis like changes ...

Also rule put hemophilia by investigate with APTT like investigation...
Also investigate with bleeding time , clotting time , platelet count etc...

Here blood accumulation seems most likely in joint rather than saying clot formation...

Your physical examination necessary....

Consult orthopedic surgeon for that ...

Take care
