What Causes Swelling And Burning Sensation In The Clitoris After Using Veet Hair Removal Cream?
I used veet hair remover today on my genital area & I think I ve burnt my clitorial and inside lips of my vagina. The lips are now swollen, look red with some blisters and its so painful when I urinate. I must have had broken skin as well because last week I bought vagisil which I was using suspecting I was coming down with a Thrush. What can I do to heal properly and what can I also use to reduce the burning sensation??
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
It can be due to hypersensitivity due to veet application. Clitoris and labium minus are very tender parts. Any application can lead to such reaction, if one is allergic to that chemical. As you have blisters around the clitoris Herpes simplx infection could also be a possibility. As you had history of yeast infection, incomplete cure also should be considered. Reactions to any applications could be exaggerated in the presence of an abraded skin. If you are not relieved from burning sensation following an application of some soothing emolient (liquid paraffin), you have to consult a physician and get examined, investigated before start any treatment.
