What Causes Swelling And Discomforts After Hydrocele Surgery?

Why THANK YOU. This Tuesday will be 2 weeks since I had my Hydrocele operated on. My surgeon said it was routine going in and he was pleased with the result afterward. Having the surgery on a Tuesday early, I then returned to work overnight that following Sunday evening. I had to lose the strap worn from the hospital and I tried underwear alone. Anyway, I m in a lot of discomfort. It s very tender, sore and swollen. Assuming I went back to work prematurely, should I expect this swelling and will it shrink itself down to a normal size?
