What Causes Swelling And Itching Of Clitoris Along With Back Pain During Postpartum?
Hi I have birth 7 weeks ago and had a catheter in my clitours and it s swollen up and really really hurts to do anything and itches a little too. I m also getting lower back pain and bum pain aslo had blood from my bum. Help please I m in so much pain :(
Urinary tract infections or vaginal infections can occur with the use and also after the removal of urinary catheter. Urine analysis, culture and sensitivity, vaginal smear can be taken to rule out infections. Meanwhile, empirical therapy can be started with fluro-quinolones or cephalo-sporins. Kindly rule out any raised blood sugar levels.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
