General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Gout attack should be ruled out in your case. Doing blood test for uric acid levels will be helpful to rule out the condition. In such case taking NSAIDs like indomethacin or ibuprofen for short term will be helpful to abort the attack. After that drugs uricosuric drugs like allopurinol should be taken for long term. It is better to show your local physician to rule out this.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
