What Causes Swelling And Lump On The Left Foot?

The top of my left foot is swollen and has a ball on top of it. Tender to the touch, burning tingling, shooting pains through my foot and cannot put pressure on my foot without a limp. I do not know what could of caused this. Any ideas what could be going on?

Hi,

The painful ball-like swelling you have on top of foot seems to be ganglion arising from joints, tendons around the joint that is why.

It creates unbearable pain in putting pressure on the foot. Over the counter pain medicine would relief e pain to some extent.

Some times needs operative treatment for permanent cure. Please consult an orthopedic surgeon.
