What Causes Swelling And Numbness In Fingers?

I have stitches in my right hand between my pinky and the finger beside it. I was told I cut into a artery and nerve. But stitches I got and now 10 days later my the knuckles and palm and top of hand swells and turns blue .. If I move my fingers if I don t move fingers blue almost goes away but fingers stay swollen. My finger is numb still and it is so swollen it looks like a fat sausage. As well as my middle finger .. I can t get a straight answer out of any one.
