What Causes Swelling And Numbness On The Leg With Sciatic Nerve Problem?

i have pain in my left leg I have had sciatic nerve problems for about 6 weeks now but now my leg is tender to the touch and a little swollen on the calf area I have sleep with a heating pad nightly also the leg feels numb. Can you tell me whats going on?

Hi, as you described your condution, sciatica' s symptoms commonly does not include swelling in leg area. tingling and numbness are the common symptoms of sciatica. For swelling, there may be some other reason, you should definitely get checked out. Be sure to consult with your physician on this. Good luck!
