What Causes Swelling And Numbness On The Toes After Desyndactylization?
Hi, I had a Desyndactylization done on October 14. I am now having to put some Antibiotic ointment and Mineral Oil between the toes. It is oozing yellow goo. My 2nd and 3rd toes are reddish, swollen, and numb. I have a rash on the arch of my foot. I went in to emergency last night because of the swelling and posing... The Dr let me know he had no experience with this. He took a culture and said it would take two days for results... He said no red flags... No fever, no Oder. So here I am and with the swelling and redness getting worse. Never having a skin graft before I ve gone in to the Dr s as a walk in on Monday . Looking at the photo that looked great compare to now... but that s when we stoped gausing it and went to ointment... I have nothing as a measuring stick. Any advice... I don t want to be a bother to my Dr if this is the normal healing process. Thank you for your time.
It is due to local inflammatory reaction. As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and get evaluated.
