What Causes Swelling And Odor In Vagina After Having Sex?

had sex with astroglide the other night. almost immediately after finishing, my vagina walls started to swell and burn. I only had slight discomfort during sex. Now it has been a few days since intercourse and my outer "lips" have started to itch, My vagina has developed a slight odor, and I cannot wear tight pants due to burning sensations when sitting... Am I allergic? what are some remedies I possibly could use to get over this reaction faster?

Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I will keep possibility of an allergic reaction to the product.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream, twice daily, for a few days.
Topical steroids are prescription products and therefore I suggest you to talk to your doctor for the needful.
An OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from itching.
