What Causes Swelling And Pain After Lumpectomy Surgery?
I had a lumpectomy 2 months ago. I have since started radiation. I have increased pain and swelling. Don t know what to do about continuing to work with all the pain. My dr has given me meds that make me spaced out. I drive 40 minutes to work, 45 minutes to radiation, then 30 minutes home. Do I continue to work?
If you find that the medication is causing excess drowsiness and fatigue, making it difficult to concentrate at work and also affecting your driving, then you may need to consider taking time off from your work.
The other option would be to ask your doctor for alternative medication , if possible, that would not be associated with drowsiness. He or she may or may not be able to find one for you.
I hope this helps
