What Causes Swelling And Pain At The Back Of Neck?

There is so much pain in my neck right behind my ear (behind my jaw). It doesn t hurt if I am sitting up, but it definitely hurts when I am laying down. I can feel that its swollen when I am laying down. I am beginning to feel the pain more and more on my right side. What could this be?

I think it can be because of lymph nodes. I believe you should get physically evaluated by your general practitioner. Also, if possible visit an ENT doctor.
