Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have a swollen cheek, mouth and have alot of pain, the inside of my mouth is sore on this side and i have been having alot of migraines. Have been to dentist they said they can not see any problems with any teeth and done four xrays, also a second dentist was asked to check and they agree can you help?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swelling and pain in inner cheek is mainly because of salivary glands infection or stone in them. Some stones sit inside the gland without causing any symptoms, in other cases, stone blocks the gland's duct, either partially or completely and the gland becomes painful and swollen, and blocks salivary flow. Your symptoms are not dental related. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Try citrus fruits. Put few drops of lemon on your tongue to stimulate salivary secretion. If stone will be of small size it can be removed by digital pressure. For large stone surgical modalities are needed. Drink plenty of water and fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
