What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Ankle Of An Elderly Person?
My mother is 82 years old and just told me her ankles are swollen and have been since last night. they are not sore or stiff, but noticeably swollen. I ll take her to the doctor monday morning, but should I be concerned now? she is taking the following meds: Eliquis, Metoprolol, Lisinopril, Vesicare, Digoxin, Folic acid, Magnesiun oxide, Cyanolobacamin, Propafenone HCL, and Amlodipine Besylate.

tour mother is 82years old.. if she is overweight than this swelling in ankel is common.. and if I consider she is not obese.. than she had underlying problems related to heart.. as she is taking medication.. these given in heart related problems... due to heart insufficiency and overweight..swelling in angel n knees are common... so don't worry.. follow healthy lifestyle n reduced sodium. intake.. if her blood pressure is high.. n consult your doctor
