What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Cheek After Applying Fluorouracil Cream?

I am using Fluorouracil Cream 5% USP. My right cheek is swollen skin is cracked and bleeding slightly and painful. The left cheek and nose are just red and dry. I have discontinued using the cream for now. Is there Anything I can put on my cheek to sooth it?

hi sir/mam,it appears to be allergic contact dermatitis.you did the right thing by discontinuing it.inorder to reduce the irritation,you can use creams with ceramides like CERAVE,CETAPHIL RESTORADERM.use of mild soaps like CETAPHIL OR DOVE is recommended.please do not apply any bandage or dont seal the wound.if the symptoms wont subside in 4 to 5 days,you need to have a dermatologist consultation.any other issues to be discussed,kindly let me know.thank you.take care.bye.
