Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I ve notice that while on my cycle my clitoris was swollen. I didn t really think Anything of besides it being a little irritated by my underwear, so my cycle just ended on Wednesday 5/18 and my area still was swollen and very painful to touch. So I took a hot shower hoping that the area would become calm, and I didn t wear any underwear to bed. I wake up this morning to use the restroom and take a look at it and there was a bump of some sort that happened to be draining so I touched it with tissue and it started draining out even more, (yuck) Now that the bump is fully drained, it looks more like a slit, like a cut and is still kinda draining when I squeeze the area and it burns. What is going on??
There is possibility of lump in clitoris which was probably filled with pus. Since, the pus has drained out spontaneously, an antibiotic cover may be required. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment since there is a cut in the clitoris area also.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
