Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to the doctor a week ago with joint pain and swelling and the rheumatologist was very thorough. She ran extensive tests. All were normal except Globulin 4.0 g/dL Creatinine 0.98 mg/dL Sed Rate 64 mM/Hr CRP 30.4 ANA Positive I have googled all of these results and they all seem to say the same thing. Could be an autoimmune disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Lupus Or even leukemia. I know it s a combination of results. What do you think. I have a followup appointment this Friday.
You have arthritis and positive ANA both togather indicate possibility of lupus if you also have features of photosensitivity, oral ulcers, You will need urine examination, 24 hour urinary protein dsDNA, C3C4, Coombs test, APLA profile, and a complete blood count. I would also suggest go through ACR diagnostic criteria for SLE.
