What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Knees?

Hi I have been suffering with swollen knees,knee pain and extreme stiffness.I first thought it was an allergic reaction to something but it's been over 2 and half months and the symptoms are getting worse.tt
can you please shed some light on my knee problem.
