I had a bucket of cat litter fall out of the back of my jeep. It hit my shin just below my knee and scraped my shin, ankle and top of my foot. It swelled to the size of a goose egg almost immediately. I ve been using ice, but after three days it is extremely painfully and I can t stand to put pressure on the ball of my foot, making walking painful. Everyone says it s just bruised badly and not to worry, but it is swollen all the way to my calf and there is a knot on both sides of my shin.
