What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Shinbone After A Fall?

3 weeks ago I fell really hard on my shin bone. It was swollen and painful to walk for about a week. But now there is a hard lump on my shin bone that kinda feels like bone. It is painful when you touch it. Should I be concerned? Do I need to get in to see my doc or will it heal in time? Thanks.

Hi..Can understand your concern...As per your query about swelling and pain in shin bone after a fall is due to inflammatory reaction and collection of blood..I suggest you to have an xray done to rule out any hairline fracture by consulting a local physician. For the time being you can take antiinflammatory drug like ibuprofen to relieve pain and take rest..
I hope the information helps you...Take care.
