What Causes Swelling And Pain In The Vastus Lateralis Muscle In The Left Thigh?
I have a swollen vastus lateralis on my left thigh, it is extreamly painful I have been to a ortho doctor and he never told me what my problem was I finally found it on the internet. I hurt have trouble sleeping and it is hypersenative. I just got some ktape and was wondering if it would help me?
Vastus lateralis muscle swelling occurs during weight lifting and sports activity. So avoid if you are doing any of these. Take tablet ibuprofen for better management of pain and swelling. Also, apply ktape that will assist in reducing the strain of muscle as well as repair. Don't forget to do physiotherapy exercise, it will help you a lot.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
