What Causes Swelling And Pricking Sensation On Knees While On Lasix?
Hi, I am currently taking 160 mg. of Lasic each day. My feet are so swollen today that I feel they are going to burst. Is there anything I can do to alievate the pressure. Also, usually my feet feel like pins and needles in the morning when I wake up, but now the feeling extends up to my knees. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you Caroline

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
what is ur age? For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? Are u running fever? Any kidney and liver problem?/
Swollen feet< pedal edema> need diuertics like lasix and salt restriction. You should continue with it and dont stop it until and unless u are seen by ur doctor.
Pedal edema mostly occurs due to the problem in liver kidney and heart. you should meet your doctor so that u can be examined and investigated properly.....
As far as needles and pin sensations are concerned i dont think it is due to lasix , it is most probabaly due to some other pathology you should be look for diabetes as well as hypertension.
