General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Lower extremity swellings may be caused by:-
* Certain drugs
* hypertension
* Kidney disease
* Liver disease
* Cardiac Disease
* Lung disorders

Steroids cause tachycardia and high blood pressure. IV has more of the effects than does the oral ones.

Aubagio causes High Blood Pressure too. Accumulated effect may lead to lower extremity swellings (Peripheral Edema, they affects most dependant parts of the body i.e lower extremities).

Final Impression:-

Kindly consult your physician for Blood Pressure monitoring & Hypertension Screening so as to get the reason for your edema. It is important because, may be you are already Hypertensive and it have caused this swelling as a complication of hypertension in the first place.

Your Physician will rule out the above causes after careful physical examination and Diagnostic tests.

Hope I answered all of your health concerns . If you have further questions in future, feel free to contact me anytime. In the start of your question write my name, and I will get back to you in no time. If satisfied, please click you found it helpful.

Have a wonderful time ahead.
