What Causes Swelling And Redness In The Neck After Tooth Extraction?

hello ... i just had a tooth extracted yesterday and now i am having issues with my neck in the front. its red and swollen and hot to the touch and when i barely touch the neck area its painful ... my throat does not hurt but i am concerned about the swelling.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your swelling and pain in front portion of the neck after extraction of the tooth does not seems to be exactly related to be caused due to the tooth extraction but can be due to other causes like any allergic reaction to the medication that might be given to you post extraction, while can also be due to any bug bite or infection in that area..

You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, anti-allergics like Benadryl and do cool compresses in the area..

In case if swelling does not improve consult a General Physician and get evaluated..
