What Causes Swelling And Severe Pain In Left Knee Post Knee Replacement?

I fell and twisted my left knee on last Saturday. I had a knee replacement on the same knee. I have been using the RICE method. The swelling has gone down some and the outside of knee is still in pain and the muscle seems to be very painful. What should I do and do you think I need to go to see a doctor because of having a knee replacement. FYI. My knee has had swelling issues even after knee replacement. Soft tissue issue has been a lot of the problems since my surgery

When we fell down and hit on the ground, it causes soft tissue injury and swelling due to inflammation. Take Ibuprofen800mg 2times a day and it will start subsiding. Previous knee replacement surgery poses and added risk factor for a rapid swelling.

Apply heat padding if painful. Limit movement until healed. Keep a good hydration and balanced healthy diet.
