General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Swelling and soreness in ankles and feet is a common side effect of Librium.

This side effect usually goes away on its own.

If the symptoms continue you should do a complete blood count and a urinalysis for further evaluation of the cause.

Meanwhile, you can use non-inflammatory medication to treat the soreness such as Ibuprofen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
