7 weeks ago i had a scopic knee surgery and since then ive been going to thrapy and just two days ago i woke up with my right knee not the one i had surgery on that one is healing good but now my knee is so swollen and can barely bend it and cant walk so was thinking about going to the er
Your other knee which had not undergone surgery is swollen now. The following are few probable causes of swelling of knee joint: 1) Osteoarthritis 2) Rheumatoid arthritis 3) Gout 4) Acute bursitis 5) Acute meniscal tears after an injury 6) Joint effusion due to infection
Treatment always depends upon the cause. Please do consult an orthopedic surgeon so that he can examine you in person and do the necessary tests to arrive at a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment. You can take ibuprofen for pain relief temporarily.
