What Causes Swelling And Tenderness In The Middle Of The Chest?
My grand baby was crawling on me when she put her tiny hand in the middle of my chest where my ribs meet. It hurt. I starting feeling and that spot seemed swollen and tender. This happened 2 weeks ago and it still seems swollen and tender.Is it my sternum or the xiphoid process part? And what would or could cause this?

It could be costochondritis like musculoskeletal pain.It could be due to any unnoticed trauma.You can take over the counter anti inflammatory drug for five days.Avoid strenuous activities.Hot compress can be beneficial.Take rest.If no improvement than X-ray need to be done.
