What Causes Swelling And Throbbing Sensation In Hands?
My right hand seems to be slowly swelling finger tips feel fuller, hand feels a bit heavy, some mild tingling and a bit of a throbbing sensation, also a noticeable difference in the size of my right hand compared to the left. This is some 18 hours after receiving an electric shock from a low voltage lamp, I accidently touched the exposed wires. Is there any cause for concern, as I am keeping an eye on my breathing as I felt slightly breathless after the initial shock.
Swelling is part of the body's inflammatory response so it is not usual that you would notice changes as a result of being shocked.
If it is not severe, you can try using an anti inflammatory agent to see if this helps eg ibuprofen, cataflam, naproxen This would help to reduce the swelling and any discomfort that you may be experiencing.
I hope this helps
