What Causes Swelling Around Eye While Esr Level Is Elevated?
I have a slight swelling about left eye and doctor said my esr is elevated...they just started treating me for shingles, but I am really not sure that shingles is what it is..there is not a blistery rash or anything, just swelling. I also have had what I would call a slight vertigo type of dizziness and fluttering heart for the last month...should I get a second opinion?

ESR usually cannot be the basis of diagnosis.just mild swelling without rashes or blisters around eyes or on tip of the nose, herpes zoster also does not fit.
One should use anti histaminic tabs for a few days and ibuprofen
