What Causes Swelling Around The Eyes And Throat After Taking Levothyroxine?

my dr. changed my thyroid medicine levethyoixine from 25mg to 75mg when i started taking it my face swelled up around my eyes, my throat too i couldn t breathe right , i used my mom s inhaler to open up my throat, my arm got hives on it ( just the right side ) now the swelling went down after 3 days, i stopped taking it until i see my dr. now i m getting sick throwing up when i start moving around my heart beats fast and i m gagging and chocking when i set sick or even cough, Dr. says my thyroid is way low, she has done blood work but i haven t seen her yet for the results, just a call about medicine being changed, should i go to the er, or wait for appt, which is a week away still...Help!

Hi,

This clearly indicates you have some allergic reaction to the said drug or anything else if you might have taken. Its good to stop the drug until you see your doctor. However, the way you said you feel so unwell, it would suggest you should visit the ER to be safe.
