What Causes Swelling Around The Penis?
hellow, about 3 days ago i noticed a swelling around my penis. its like a rash of some kind and it has oilyness on the outside of it. it has also gone down to my testicles and it is unbelievably itchy. i dont know what it is i havent had sex in about a year so i know its not a sexual disese. i have no clue what to do can you please help?

Penile swelling is a symptom of a health condition, associated with other symptoms. It may may result from some underlying disease conditions such as balanitis which is caused by the inflammation of head penis with redness, itchiness, painful urination, thick white discharge under foreskin etc, allergic reactions with redness, itching, bumps etc, prosthitis which is caused by inflammation of foreskin with redness, soreness, smegma etc, paraphimosis which is caused by the foreskin is struck behind the penis.
Physical examination and some investigations like urethral swab for C/S, ultrasound,CT scan or MRI, biopsy from penile skin etc help to confirm the diagnosis. Oral antibiotics, topical antifungal cream, topical steroids ointment can be given as treatment options.
