What Causes Swelling Behind The Head And Pain In Front Of The Ear?

I have swelling at the back of my head on the left side of brain stem area around left side swelling in glands on left side with a dull headache on back lower left side of head. occasional twinges of pain in front of ear. Thought TMJ because of occasional left side jaw pops.

Hello,

To me should check:
- ears for possible infection or inflammation
- your teeth
- throat

If nothing, should run x-ray or MRI of jaw junction to rule out TMJ.
